Guys the Spooky season is upon us and with Halloween coming up ahead. So I've made a list of my top favorite books that will keep you up at night.
A Good Girls Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson
This book kept me up at night because it was twisted and spooky. It's currently nominated for Goodreads young adult choice award so check it out.
All Your Twisted Secrets by Diana Urban
Those of you in the google classroom book club I'm in you all know this is the book of the month. This book is really twisted. I get the shudders every time I think about it.
Two can Keep a Secret by Karen M. Magnus
Set around homecoming and Halloween this book about a missing girl a dead teacher and a mysterious killer with some rage against homecoming queens. What could go wrong?
There is someone inside your House by Stephine Perkins
In the first chapter, a girl finds an egg timer in her room, and when it goes off she's dead. Spooky right. Then more students from Makani's (Our Main Character) high school start to die off. Who's the killer and what's wrong with high school students?
Wilder Girls by Rory Powers
I have another one of Rory's books to blog about later and let me just tell you this woman is a great author of things creepy and strange. This book is about a disease that takes over a school. Then when a girl goes missing they need to find her and leave school and safety behind.
The Grace Year by Kim Ligget
This book is all about girl power and creepy things. Girls have to go on a grace year to harness their powers but nobody that returns ever talks about it. This book is full of excitement and creepy twisted things that will keep you up at night.
Rules for Vanishing by Kate Alice Mashall
Once a year a path appears in the forest along with a ghost and people follow but never come back. Sara's sister Becca left to follow the ghost and she's ready to let this go but she gets a text asking if she's ready to play the game. If you read this be prepared to lose sleep convinced that the ghost is coming for you. So let me ask you, readers, Are you ready to play the game?
